@Dixa.6017 said:so OP..i have had the same question as you and my journey this last week to find not only the best class/spec to complete as much as I can solo while also not being required to play on the spaztic level of a lord hizen has been frustrating and expensive by way of gems and gold.
Where mirage can perform adequately by basically spamming 1 and dodge on staff from range, weaver has 26 weapon skills, a unique rotation, and it's pure melee making it higher risk. It's one of the strongest builds for open world/story play, but you have to understand how to play it to get great performance out of it.
Thief in organised PvE has rarely really done well outside of niche builds, while in PvP, anything that breaks out of the glass cannon roamer mould tends not to last for long. Specter showed potential as a support role in PvE, but having to spam wells is awkward, and the competition has largely pushed it out. Enjoyment: B. I found Spectre to
A lot of PVE class discussion on here revolves around high end PVE content, mainly Tier 4 Fractals, Strikes, and Raids. In high end PVE, you will never play ranged for the most part, even if you're using a ranged weapon, because DPS stack on each other in melee range to receive buffs.
Necro probably best solo pve machine there is right now with their new spec. Mesmer is currently a more group focused class. Honestly doesn't matter much though, any class does fine in open world/solo pve. For raids, mesmer is currently meta while necros are in the middle. People don't actively look for them but they can fill a dps slot if needed.
. Not simply the strongest spec, but the one that you think improves upon the base class the most and is the most fun to play for you. Feel free to explain your choice. (Guardian) Dragon Hunter. 4. (Guardian) Firebrand. 13. (Revenant) Herald. 3. (Revenant) Renegade.
Staff Daredevil with Signet of Malice is still one of the best builds for Open World. Deadeye is probably much better for soloing bosses than Specter. When you land 20k hits, IP heals you for 1200hp. Use stealth to manipulate agro, Death's Retreat to get away from mobs. 13.
Already answered. In order of commonly found difficulty for end game : condi holo > power holo > quickness /tank scrapper. Yes. Technically all classes can solo bosses but engineer has a lot of built in cc and self utility making it quite suited to solo. Not as much as guardian but close enough.
Necro, Warrior and Guardian have the best options for sustain at melee range, but their damage to durability ratio varies heavily, and specing too far away from damage actually makes fights harder. Ele and Mesmer are strong damage options, but the way their builds scale when not running pure glass requires a higher level of player knowledge to
